Folks, I just wanted to say that the G2 Essay Forum is now online and accepting essays, commentary, poems, photos, or other digital art. The idea behind that Forum is to elevate discussion of ideas to more than just simplistic slogans or reactionary rebuttals. We've had our share of suspicions, fears, resentments, and disagreements. But it seems to me that we haven't had much in the way of enlightened discourse. People may disagree, but that doesn't mean we have to be disagreeable. So I proposed to the HOA Board a forum to express ideas in a form longer than a sound bite. I also wanted a place for people who are not so vocal to be able to express themselves above those who tend to talk louder. I hope people who have had strongly held opinions will take up their pens (or keyboards) and write their opinions, suggestions, and feelings. Please take a look at the Forum, which Tony Vaughn and Dave Holsonback are helping with.
